President's Welcome
to the New NCISA Association Website

This website is designed to be one of the tools we use to provide information about our Association and to maintain contact with our members who are located throughout the world.  It is here that information can be obtained about our organization, planned events and, in the Members Only Section, information about our members. Also within the members area are interactive sections where the members can share their thoughts and engage in ongoing discussions on matters of whatever interests them.

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has a long history of service to the Nation and the Department of the Navy.  Originally chartered in 1882 as the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), later the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) and since 1992, NCIS has served as the Department of the Navy’s primary law enforcement and
counterintelligence arm.

Today’s NCIS is comprised of a corps of federal law enforcement special agents, analysts, and professional support personnel.

The NCIS mission includes major criminal investigations as well as our Nation’s fight against international terrorism.  NCISA was originally established as the Association of Retired NIS Special Agents (ARNISSA) dedicated to bringing together those who had served with ONI and NIS.

In addition to retired special agents, today’s NCISA also includes retired and former employees of NCIS who meet NCISA's eligibility requirements.  The Association encourages active participation and is grateful to its members who carry out the Association’s mission of maintaining a fraternal, social and professional relationship with each other.

NCISA sponsors a scholarship program for relatives of our members and also provides monetary support to select interns serving in the NCIS Intern Program.  Through these and other means, NCISA also serves as a link to the active NCIS.

Please take some time to explore our web site to learn more about our Association.  Those interested in gaining membership are encouraged to review our Association By-Laws which provide information concerning eligibility for membership.  An application form is provided for those who desire to apply for membership.

I thank you for visiting our web site and hope you will return and participate often.
