Welcome to the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Association (NCISA)

We continually strive to improve our website to bring members the latest information about NCISA — including events, benefits, and updates within our community.

A Proud History of Service

The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has a proud history of service to the Nation and the Department of the Navy. Founded in 1882 as the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), it became the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) in 1966 and was renamed NCIS in 1992. Today, NCIS serves as the Navy’s primary law enforcement and counterintelligence agency, protecting sailors, Marines, civilians, and national security interests worldwide.

About NCISA

Originally founded as the Association of Retired NIS Special Agents (ARNISSA), we later adopted the name NCISA to better reflect our close connection to the mission of NCIS. We proudly welcome retired Special Agents and former civilian and military employees of NCIS who meet our eligibility requirements.

Our Mission

Our purpose is simple: to foster fellowship and strengthen connections among our members, both socially and professionally. We are committed to finding new ways to enhance member benefits, encourage participation, recruit new members, and provide opportunities for meaningful engagement.
