NCISA National Officers
Ret. Special Agent Joe Orrigo
Welcome to the NCIS Association
We are trying to continually improve our website in order to provide our members with the most current information regarding the Naval Criminal Investigative Service Association (NCISA), our contacts, planned events, and benefits.
We are proud of our long heritage within the law enforcement community. The Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) has a lengthy history of service to the Nation and to the Department of the Navy. Originally chartered in 1882 as the Office of Naval Intelligence (ONI), it became the Naval Investigative Service (NIS) in 1966 and the NCIS in 1992. It is the primary law enforcement and counterintelligence arm of the Department of the Navy.
NCIS is as diverse as its mission which includes major criminal investigations, counterintelligence and counterterrorism. It is comprised of a corps of federal law enforcement Special Agents, Analysts, and Professional Support Personnel.
NCISA was originally established as the Association of Retired NIS Special Agents (ARNISSA). We latter changed the name to better reflect our affiliation with the mission of the NCIS and to serve as a closer link to them.
NCISA welcomes diversity. We are comprised of retired Special Agents, and former employees, both civilian and military of NCIS, who meet NCISA's eligibility requirements. Our mission is simply to develop fellowship both socially and professionally among our members. Consequently, we are always looking for new ways of improving our organization, encouraging active participation, obtaining more benefits, recruiting new members, and providing interactive feedback.
Please search our web site to learn more about our Association. Those interested in gaining membership are encouraged to review our Association By-Laws for eligibility requirements. An application form is provided on the web site for those who desire to apply for membership.
Thank you for visiting our web site. I hope you will return and participate often.
